B.TECH. Degree programme is a continuation of technical expertise acquired after completing Diploma programmes and offers an opportunity to Diploma holders to obtain B.TECH Degree in Engineering. B.TECH. Lateral Entry Admission details: • Entry Qualification: The candidates seeking admission to B. Tech. admission lateral entry Programmes, must have passed a State Diploma Examination of three years duration in any branch or any other examination, recognized equivalent there to by the Delhi Technological University with a minimum aggregate (aggregate of all six semesters / three years) of 60% (50% for SC/ST and 55% for OBC candidate). • Duration: The duration of Degree programme is 3 years as the candidate will be admitted directly in second year of the regular B.Tech. Program. Fee Structure: The fee structure will be same as the regular B.TECH, program, i.e. Rs. 75,000/- per year and revised time to time by university. Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) - Lateral Entry course is offered by MIT, Manipal. The Lateral Entry program enables applicants with a 3 years diploma in engineering or an equivalent degree to get admitted directly to 2nd Year (3rd semester). Citizenship: Indian nationals. Admission Procedure: General Category: Admissions are done on the basis of rank in the All India Manipal University Online Entrance Test (MU-OET). Foreign/NRI Category: Admissions are done on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination. Test Pattern: Duration- 1 hour. The approximate distribution of questions is as follows: Diploma level-Mathematics (50),Physics (10),Chemistry (10) and Communication Skills in English (20) BSc graduates with Mathematics will have a separate question paper consisting of 70 questions in Mathematics and 20 questions in Communication Skills in English.
