Will you please tell me the procedure to take lateral entry in 2nd year in colleges of West Bengal?? JELET exam is organized for admission of diploma holders in engineering, technology, pharmacy, architecture candidates to second year 3rd semester of 4 year undergraduate degree courses in various public and private university or colleges of West Bengal State. So every year Lacs of candidates participated in Joint Entrance Examination for Lateral Entry. Qualification: The aspirants who possess Diploma in Engineering/ Pharmacy/ Technology with at least 50% marks from any Polytechnic Institute recognized by AICTE or qualified in 12th Standard with Mathematics subject and B.Sc with 50% marks from UGC recognized University. Age: Aspirants must be below of the ages of 27 years. Application Fee: Aspirants are required to pay application fee of Rs. 500 Selection process: Applicants will get selected on the basis of the written test. You can take lateral entry admission in 2nd year in colleges of West Bengal by appearing and getting good score in Joint Entrance Examination for lateral entry (JELET) The Joint Entrance Examination for lateral entry (JELET) to 2nd year of Bachelor degree in Engineering/Technology and Pharmacy is conducted by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board Eligibility and other Criteria: Diploma Holders: Must have secured minimum 50% marks (45% for reserved category) from an AICTE approved institution B.Sc holders: Must have Passed B.Sc with minimum 50% marks (45% for reserved category) from a recognized University and Pass XII standard with Mathematics as a subject. Pharmacy Holders: Passed Diploma in Pharmacy from an AICTE approved Institution with at least 50% marks (45% for reserved category). Other Eligibility -- - The Applicant must be a citizen of India. - There is no age restriction for diploma holders of Engineering and Technology/ Pharmacy. -For B.Sc candidates upper age limit is 27 years as on 31st December of the Examination Year. Pattern of Examination: - The JELET examination is two hours duration, questions is Multiple Choice (MCQ) objective type and total 100 questions. -Each question carrying 1(one) marks. -For each incorrect response 1/3 mark will be deducted. -All questions have to be answered on specially designed OMR answer sheets. -Answers are marked using Black/Blue Ball pen. -One common question paper to all branches of Engineering Technology and separate question papers for A) Pharmacy branch, B) B.Sc candidates.
