The Department of Business Management is a post graduate branch of the University of Calcutta. It is situated in the Sahid Khudiram Siksha Prangan, Alipore grounds.

The Department offers two years full-time post graduate project (MBM, now renamed MBA and MHROM) in Business Management. The MBM program has one of the most minimal educational cost expenses in India. It is positioned second amongst the college of business UB administration divisions in India (2007 rankings).

MBM

Aces in Business Management (known as MBM, now renamed MBA) is the leader project of this University Department since 1976. MBM is a state supported system with a yearly educational cost charges of not exactly र 20,000 (US $400) and appropriately perceived by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE). The span of this system is two years (full-time) with an admission limit of 33 understudies. For the class entering in 2010, the acknowledgment rate into MBM system was 16.5%. The class has a CAT percentile scope of 65-95, age scope of 21–27 years, 45% of the class are ladies, 40% understudies have work experience of one year or more, 29.6% understudies have science background,29.6% understudies have building foundation, 14.8% understudies have BCom/MCom foundation, 11.11% understudies have an undergrad administration degree,7.4% understudies have expressions foundation and 7.4% understudies have a college degree in PC applications.

Every scholarly year is subdivided into 2 semesters. The classes are held consistently from Monday to Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
