Naval Pay Office was set up as a brought together Pay Accounting Organization to keep up pay records of all Royal Indian Navy staff, in 1945 and the Head of Organization was named as Pay Master-in-Chief RIN Pay Office. It was set up in the Sanatorium building, Versova, Andheri, Bombay, under the stewardship of the primary Pay Master-in-Chief.

Capacity/Role

The essential obligation of Naval Pay Office is to guarantee right authorisation and payment of different Pay and Allowances to all administration work force, as endorsed under standards, from the day of joining the administration upto the date of retirement/discharge/grounding.

The principle elements of the Naval Pay Office are as per the following:-

To keep up the Centralized Pay Accounting System for change and settlement of pay and remittances in admiration of all the officers and mariners, on dynamic rundown, of the Indian Navy.
