As you asking I am telling Common Admission Test (CAT) is a computer based selection test conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) for their business administration programs:

Key dates
Advertisement publish July 2016 (Sunday)
Online Registration for CAT 06th August to 25th September 2016
Admit Card Download Window 15th October 2016, 1:00 PM till Exam Date
CAT Exam Test Date 29th November 2016 (Sunday)
Results Declaration Second week of January 2017

Eligibility
Bachelor’s Degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (45% in case of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disability (PWD)/Differently Able (DA) category)

CAT exam pattern consisted of the following sections:

Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR)

Some questions in each section were not of multiple choice type. Instead, direct answers had to be typed on the screen. Also, candidates were allowed the use of basic on-screen calculator for computation.

Students were allotted 60 minutes to answer questions in each section. Moreover, one could not switch from one section to another while answering questions in a section.
