Default Re: How many times IES exam is conducted annually

The Indian Engineering Services (IES) Examination is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission once a year.
Generally it is being conducted in the month of May. Following are the details of this examination:

Eligibility:
The applicant should have completed B.Tech from any one following discipline:

Electronics & Electrical Engineering
Electronics & Communication Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Civil Engineering

Nationality:
A candidate must be either:
(a) a citizen of India, or
(b) a subject of Nepal, or
(c) a subject of Bhutan, or
(d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to Indian before the 1st January, 1962

Age Limits:
The candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on the 1st August, of the current year

Age Limit;
General - 21-30 years
OBC - 21-33 years
SC/ST - 21-35 years

No of Attempts;
General - 4
OBC - 7
SC/ST - No Limit
