UGC NET is conducted to recruit research assistants and professors in various streams of education. If you will secure good in NET then you will get best colleges and institutions in India for teaching jobs.

Here I am giving you Eligibility Criteria of UGC- NET English Exam.


Eligibility for UGC-NET:

Master degree or equivalent in related subjects and the candidate must have a minimum of 55% marks.

The candidates appearing or have appeared for final year exams are also eligible.

The candidates who have qualified the SET exam are also eligible to appear for this.


Age limit for UGC-NET:

Minimum: 28 years of age
Maximum: no upper age limit

Age relaxation of 5 years will be given to SC/ST/OBC or physically disabled or women or visually handicapped

UGC NET is directed by CBSE twice in a year for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for the:

Award of Junior Research Fellowships and/or

Eligibility for Lectureship in Indian universities and colleges.

Eligibility Criteria
Students should have obtained 55% marks in Masters Degree from a recognised Universities in Arts, Social Sciences, Computer Science & Applications, Electronic Science etc.

For Junior Research Fellowship:
Students should not be more than 28 years.

For Lectureship: No upper age limit is prescribed for taking up Lectureship.
