Indian army is the land-based branch and the largest component of the Indian Armed Forces. The Indian Army originated from the armies of the East India Company, which eventually became the British Indian Army and finally the national army after independence. So, As you want to join army then you should appear an entrance exam which is: CDS exam (Combined Defense Service) TES exam (Technical Entry Scheme) Eligibility criteria for CDS exam: Candidate should have completed graduation from a recognized University. Candidate age must be between 19 to 24 years. Candidate must be citizen of India. Candidate should be an unmarried candidate. Eligibility criteria for TES exam: Candidate should have completed graduation from a recognized university. Candidate should have secured a minimum of 60% marks in graduation. Candidate age must be between 20 t0 25 years only Candidate must be citizen of India.

After passing engineering degree course, you can join Indian Army through Combined defence service Examination that is conducted by UPSC. Eligibility: The applicant should have a bachelors degree form any recognized University. Age limit: Indian Military Academy - 19-24 Years Air Force Academy - 19-23 Years Naval Academy - 19-22 Years Officers’ Training Academy - 19-27 Years Selection procedure: Selection is based on written test.
