I have completed my graduation in B.Com. and now i want to join Indian Army.Am i eligible or not? After completion of B.Com. applicants can join Indian Army . The Army offers both permanent and short service commission. One of the easiest ways after bachelor’s degree to join the Defense Forces is to sit for the UPSC examination for the same— Combined Defense Service Examination. Applicants can sit for examination if their age is anywhere between 19-24 years and completed graduation from a UGC recognized university or institution. Male applicants can select either Indian Military Academy (IMA) or Officers Training Academy (OTA) as training institute, and in case of females applicants , its OTA where the training is imparted. The written examination is held twice a year, September/October and February/March for which the notifications are provided in all the leading newspapers and journals. CDS Exam Pattern: (A) For Admission to Indian Naval Academy , Indian Military Academy, and Air Force Academy: Subject Duration Maximum Marks English 2 Hours 100 General Knowledge 2 Hours 100 Elementary Mathematics 2 Hours 100 (B) For Admission to Officers’ Training Academy: Subject Duration Maximum Marks English 2 Hours 100 General Knowledge 2 Hours 100 CDS Exam Books     Last edited by Aakashd; June 7th, 2019 at 09:58 AM.  |

Yes, of course you are eligible for joining the Indian Army. But for that you must appear in the entrance exam called CDS which is Combined Defence Services Examination. The exam is conducted every year twice. Eligibility Criteria : You must be a citizen of INDIA. You must be a graduate or in the final year of graduation from any recognized University. Your age must be between: • For IMA : 19 to 24 Years • For OTA : 19 to 25 years • For Naval : 19 to 22 years • For Air Force : 19 to 23 years. You must be physically fit. Exam Pattern: English -100 marks General Knowledge -100 Marks Elementary Mathematics -100 Marks Elementary mathematics is not for the OTA students. After that one SSB interview will be taken which will be conducted in Five days . After clearing the SSB one medical test and then you are selected to join Indian Army as an Officer.
