As you want to get the details of eligibility criteria of exam of Indian Police Service so here is the information of the same for you: Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed a degree from an Indian University or an equivalent qualification. Those in the final year of a degree course can also appear in the Preliminary Examination taken every year by UPSC. Age: The candidate must have attained the age of 21 years on 1st August of the year of examination and must not have attained 30 years of age on that date. The upper age limit will be relaxed by 3 years for OBC candidates and 5 years for SC/ST candidates. The upper age limit is also relaxed in favour of Defense Services Personnel. Nationality: A candidate must be either: a citizen of India, or a subject of Nepal, or a subject of Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India, or a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Indian Police Service IPS exam is conducted by Union Public Service Commission UPSC under Government of India for the recruitment of candidates for the various posts in the Indian Civil Services. IPS Eligibility:- Graduation degree of any of Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University Under Section-3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification. Age Limit:- Age must be between 21 years to 32 years. Age Relaxation:- Upto a maximum of five years if a candidate belongs to a Scheduled Caste or a Scheduled Tribe.
