Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) conducts a Common Written Examination (CWE) on behalf of 21 nationalized banks (see list below) as a pre-requisite for selection of Probationary Officers.

Tentative Dates (2014)
Start date for Online Registration July 22, 2014
Online Payment of Application Fees July 22 - Aug 17, 2014
Offline Payment of Application Fees July 24 - Aug 22, 2014
Last date for Online Registration Aug 17, 2014
Online exam (tentative dates) Oct 19 / Oct 20 / Oct 26 / Oct 27, 2014
Results Third / Fourth week of Nov 2014

How to Apply

Step I. Register and get the provisional registration number & password generated.
Step II. Pay using either:
ONLINE MODE – through Master/ Visa Debit or Credit cards or Internet Banking
OFFLINE MODE - payment of fees through CBS branches of any of the following public sector banks - Bank of Baroda, Bank of India, Bank of Maharashtra, Central Bank of India, Indian Overseas Bank, Punjab National Bank, United Bank of India

Eligibility

Nationality
You must be one of the following:
• A citizen of India
• A subject of Nepal or Bhutan
• A Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 01/01/1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India
• A person of Indian origin who has migrated from other countries (detailed list of countries available on official website) with the intention of permanently settling in India

Age Limit
Your age should be between 20 – 30 years (both inclusive)

Relaxation of upper age limit
SC/ST 5
OBC 3
PWD 10
Domiciled in J&K during the period 01/01/1980 - 31/12/1989 5

Educational Qualification
You must be a graduate in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.
