As on today Feb 2014, Income Tax Department, Government of India publish latest recruitment notification for Inspector or Income Tax Officer Exam, here is details:

How to Apply:
Eligible candidates can send their applications in specified format along with certificate copies of testimonials enclosed in an envelope super scribed with “Application for Appointment of Personnel Under Sports Quota-2013-14″ should reach by registered post or speed port or by ordinary post or directly in person, to The Joint Commissioner of Income Tax (Hqrs) (Admn-cum-Vig), Aaykar Bhavan, No.121, Mahatma Gandhi Road, Nungambakkam, Chennai-600034 on or before 24-02-2014 up to 05:00 PM.

Important Dates:
Last Date for Submission of Applications: 24-02-2014 till 05:00 PM

Last Date for Submission of Applications from the Far Flung Areas:
03-03-2014 up to 05:00 PM

The department of Income Tax India every year publishes recruitment notification for filling the vacant posts of Tax Assistant in their department.

Eligibility Criteria :

Candidates must be at least graduate in the relevant field from a recognized university.

Candidates must also have a shorthand speed of 20 words per minute in English and 15 words per minute in Hindi.

Candidates should not be less than 18 years and should not be more than 35 years.

The relaxation in upper Age Limit will be is 3 years for the applicants of OBC categories and 5 years for the Candidates of SC/ST categories.

Application Procedure:
-Visit the official website of the department which is Income Tax Department

-Then click on the link of Apply Online.

-Fill up all the details in the application form.

-Upload a latest color photograph and signature also.

-Re-check all the details and submit the application form.

-Also take a hard copy of this for future reference.

Selection Procedure:
The selection done on the basis of their performance in the written exam and the computer skill test.

The Important Dates will be notified on the official website of the department.
