UPTET Eligibility to Participate in the Exam

What is the minimum eligibility required to Participate in the UPTET Exam???

Uttar Pradesh Education Board (UPBEB) conducts Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) for candidates seeking to be appointed as teachers in government-run organizations.

UPTET Eligibility Details:

Teacher Eligibility Test – Uttar Pradesh (UP-TET) Levels as Follows:
I. Primay Level (Class I-V)
II. Language Teacher Eligibility Primary level
III. Upper Primary Level (Class IV-VIII)
IV. Language Teacher Eligibility Upper Primary Level

Educational Qualification:

Minimum Educational Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes I-V (Primary Level):

Must have degree with Minimum 50% from Established by Law and U.G.C. recognized university/ SC/ ST/ OBC/ PH/ Freedom Fighters will be given for 05% in Degree & 02 years Diploma (D.Ed) from N.C.T.E/ Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).
OR
Must hold Degree with 02 years B.T.C., C.T. (Nursery)/ Nursery Teacher Training (NTT) (02 years) from Established by Law and U.G.C. recognized university.
OR
Must be Degree holder with qualify in Special B.T.C. Training from Established by Law and U.G.C. recognized university.
OR
Should have Degree with 02 years B.T.C. Urdu Special Training in Uttar Pradesh from Established by Law and U.G.C. recognized university.
OR
Must hold Degree from Established by Law and U.G.C. recognized university & Diploma in Teaching from Aligarh Muslim University (For Urdu Teacher) or Moallim-E-Urdu Degree holder in the year before 11-08-1997 (For Urdu Teacher)
OR
Should have 04 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)

Minimum Educational Qualification for becoming Teacher for Classes VI-VIII (Elementary Level):

Must possess Degree with B.T.C. from Established by Law and U.G.C. recognized university & National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE)
OR
Must have Degree with 50% form Established by Law and U.G.C. recognized institution/ Degree (B.Ed)/ B.Ed Special Education from Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).
OR
Should have passed Intermediate with 50% & 04 years B.A/ B.S.C.Ed/ B.A.Ed from recognized by N.C.T.E./ U.G.C.
OR
Should have passed Intermediate with minimum 50% & 04 years Degree (B.El.Ed) in Primary Education.
OR
Must hold Degree with minimum 45% from Established by Law and U.G.C. recognized institution (SC/ ST/ OBC/ PH/ Freedom Fighter candidates will be given for 05%) & B.Ed.

Minimum Educational Qualification for becoming Sanskrit & English Teacher for Classess I-V (Primary Level):

Should have Degree (English/ Sanskrit as a subject) from Established by Law and U.G.C. recognized university (SC/ ST/ OBC/ PH/ Freedom Fighter candidates will be given for 05%)
&
Must hold B.T.C from National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE)/ 02 years Diploma (D.Ed.) from N.C.T.E/ Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).
OR
C.T (Nursery)/ Nursery Teacher Training (NTT) (02 years) from National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).

Minimum Educational Qualification for becoming Sanskrit & English Teacher for Classess V-VIII (Upper Primary Level):

Must possess Degree (English/ Sanskrit as a subject) from Established by Law and U.G.C. recognized university (SC/ ST/ OBC/ PH/ Freedom Fighter candidates will be given for 05%) with B.T.C./ C.T. (Nursery) from National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).
OR
Should have Degree with 50% from Established by Law and U.G.C. recognized institution & Degree (B.Ed) from National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE)/ B.Ed Special Education from Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).
OR
Must have Degree with 45% from Established by Law and U.G.C. recognized institution & Degree (B.Ed)

Minimum Educational Qualifications for becoming Urdu language Eligibility Test Teacher for Classes I-V (Primary Level):

Degree/ Equivalent (Urdu as a Subject)/ PG (Urdu) from Established by Law and U.G.C. recognized university.
OR
B.T.C. (Uttar Prasesh) from National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).
OR
Moallim-E-Urdu Degree holder
OR
02 years B.T.C. Urdu Special Training in Uttar Pradesh.

Minimum Educational Qualifications for becoming Urdu language Eligibility Test Teacher for Classes VI-VIII (Upper Primary Level):
Degree/ Equivalent (Urdu as a Subject)/ PG (Urdu) from Established by Law and U.G.C. recognized university.
&
B.T.C. (Uttar Pradesh) from National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).
OR
Degree (B.Ed) recognized institution from N.C.T.E./ U.G.C./ B.Ed Special Education from Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).
OR
02 years B.T.C. Urdu Special Training in Uttar Pradesh.
OR
Diploma in Teaching from Aligah Muslim Univrsity
OR
Moallim-E-Urdu Degree holder before 11-08-1997.
