The Common Aptitude Test in English (CATE) is conducted for admission to BA English (H) in Delhi University. The paper is divided into two parts only. The first part (PART A) consisted of a Reading Comprehension passage. It will cover analogy, vocabulary, idioms, phrases, grammar, usage etc.

Study material to help crack the entrance test and personalised classes, including home tutoring. To crack the exam you should:

Know Full Syllabus
Proper Practice
Speed
Read Newspapers Daily
Clear Concept
Solve Model and Previous Papers
Read English Novels
Improve your vocabulary.

Try to solve previous year question papers; they will give you basic Idea about the paper pattern. Start preparation as earlier as you can do.

CATE - Common Aptitude Test for English is an exam conducted by the Delhi University to filter the cream English talent from the crowd.

Syllabus of Delhi University Common Aptitude Test in English

One of the important objectives of conducting this entrance exam is to analyze the aptitude of the candidates towards English language and Literature.

There is no prescribed syllabus for the exam.
