What are Eligibility criteria for Girls in Indian Air Force for Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT)?? Women can join the Air Force through any of the three options Ground Duty Branches, Technical Branch and Flying Branch. Ground Duty Branches Candidates who have completed graduation, LLB, CA, ICWA, M.Ed or Ph. D can apply for post in Indian Air Force. Women have the option to join Administration and Logistics, Accounts or Education. The education qualification and age requirement for applying any of these sections are mentioned below: Administration and Logistics Graduates applying for the section should have secured minimum 60% marks in aggregate. The age should be between 20-23 years. Post graduates applying should have secured minimum 50% marks in aggregate. The age limit to apply is 20-25 years. Accounts Graduates who have specialized in commerce can apply if they have secured minimum 60% marks in aggregate. The age limit to apply is 20-23 years. Candidates who have completed M.Com, CA or ICWA and secured minimum 50% marks in aggregate can apply. The age limit for those who have completed M.Com is 20-25 years. Age limit for CA and ICWA pass outs is 20-27 years. Education Any post graduate can apply if they have secured minimum 50% and their age is between 20-27 years. Women applying for this post should have minimum height of 152 cms. Technical branch The age limit to apply for the technical branch is 18 - 28 years. Women can apply for the Aeronautical stream if they have specialized in electronics or mechanical stream during graduation. The candidate should have completed B.Tech, B.E or equivalent. Minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all the papers put together is must. The height of the women applying to this branch should be at least 152cm. The weight of the candidate should be correlated. Flying Branch Age of the candidates applying for this post should be between 19 – 23 years. The educational qualification required to apply to this stream is as follows: Graduates in any stream can apply if they have studied Maths and Physics during 12th standard. They should have secured minimum 60% in aggregate in all the papers. B.Tech/ B.E candidates can apply if they have secured minimum 60% marks. The minimum height to apply to this branch is 162.5 cms. Indian Air Force conducts Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) for grant of Short Service Commission in Flying Branch and permanent/Short Service Commission in Technical and Ground Duty Branches. AFCAT exam is both for both men and women applicants. Below are Eligibility Criteria for Female Indian Citizens -- For FLYING BRANCH -Age limit: 19 to 23 years -Upper age limit for candidates holding valid and current Commercial Pilot License issued by DGCA (India) is relaxable upto 25 years -Educational Qualifications : Graduates (Minimum three year degree course) in any discipline from a recognized university with minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all papers -Must have passed Maths and Physics at 10+2 level or BE/B.Tech degree from a recognized university with minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together. -Minimum height of 162.5 cms with correlated weight, Leg Length of min 99 cms, max 120 cms, Thigh Length of max 64 cms. Sitting height of min 81.5 cms and max 96 cms. - Minimum Visual Acuity 6/6 in one eye and 6/9 in other, correctable to 6/6 only for hypermetropia. Technical Branch: -Age Limits: 18 to 29 years -You should be from Aeronautical Engineering (Electronics) and Aeronautical Engineer (Mechanical) branch and have undergone a minimum of four year degree qualification from a recognized university or cleared sections A and B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical society of India or radiate membership examination of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers by actual studies. Ground Duty Branches -Age Limits: For Graduates: 20 to 23 years For Post-graudates/LLB(5 years integrated course): 20 to 25 years For LLB (Three years course after graduation): 20 to 26 years For M.Ed/ Ph.D/ CA/ ICWA: 20 to 27 years -Should have Graduate degree (Minimum three year degree course) in any discipline with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate
