I want to apply for the post of Airmen in Group Y in Indian Air Force so I want to get the details of eligibility criteria and other details so can you please give me? To get into Indian Air Force one need to clear AFCAT or Air Force Common Admission Test. It is conducted by the Indian Air Force for selection of officers in all branches of the IAF (except medical and dental) viz. Flying Branch (Short Service Commission only), Technical Branch (Permanent Commission and Short Service Commission) and Ground Duty Branch (Permanent Commission and Short Service Commission). AFCAT is conducted twice a year (in the month of February and August). Eligibility Criteria (MALE): 1) Flying Branch ( 200/16F/SSC/M Courses) and (200/16F/SSC/W) Courses Age: 20 to 24 years. Upper age limit for candidates holding valid and current Commercial Pilot Licence issued by DGCA (Indian) is relaxable upto 26. Educational Qualifications: Graduates (minimum 3 years degree course) in any discipline from a recognized university who have attained at least 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together and have passed Maths and Physics at 10+2 level or B.E./B.Tech degree (4 year course) from a recognized university with minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together Those who have failed the Pilot Aptitude Battery Test (PABT) in an earlier attempt or a Flight Cadet suspended from flying training at Air Force Academy are not eligible to apply 2) Technical Branch (199/16T/PC/M Courses) and (199/16T/SSC/M &199/16T/PC/W) Age: 20 to 26 years. Educational Qualifications: Aeronautical Engineer (Electronics) AE (L): Candidates applying for AE (L) branch are eligible if they have undergone a minimum of four year degree qualification from a recognized university or cleared Sections A and B examination of Associate membership examination of the institute of electronics and telecommunication engineers by actual studies All candidates applying for AE (L) branch should have scored a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together Aeronautical Engineer (Mechanical) AE (M): Candidates applying for AE (M) branch are eligible if they have undergone a minimum of four year degree qualification from a recognized university or cleared Section A and B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India by actual studies Those applying for AE (M) branch should have scored a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together 3) Ground Duty Branch (199/16G/PC/M and 199/16G/SSC/M Courses and 199/16G/SSC/W) Age: 20 to 26 years (age limit Administration and Logistics: Graduate Degree (Minimum three years degree course) in any discipline with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate of all papers put together or a Pass Graduate Degree / equivalent Diploma in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate of all papers Accounts: Graduate Degree in Commerce (B.Com) (Minimum three year degree course) with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate of all papers put together or Post Graduate Degree in Commerce (M.Com) / CA/ICWA with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate of all papers put together Education: Post Graduate Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate of all papers put together Eligibility Criteria (Female): Age Limit: Candidates age limit is 20 to 24 years for Flying Branch, 20 to 26 years for Technical Branch and 20 to 26 years for Graduates, Post Graduates/ LLB and M.Ed/ Ph.D/ C.A/ ICWA in case of Ground Duty Branches. Age relaxation is applicable as per rules. Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess Graduation in any discipline or B.E/ B.Tech with 60% marks for Flying Branch, Four year degree qualification or cleared Sections A and B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India with 60% marks for Technical Branch and Graduation with 60% marks/ P.G degree/ Diploma in any discipline/ C.A/ ICWA with 50% marks for Ground Duty Branches. As you want to get the details of eligibility criteria and other details of post of Airmen in Group Y in Indian Air Force so here is the information of the same for you: Eligibility Criteria: Age Limit: Candidates upper age limit should not exceed 21 years. In other words candidates should be born between 01-08-1994 to 30-19-1997 (both days inclusive). Educational Qualifications: Candidates should have passed Intermediate/ 10+2 or its equivalent examination in any stream/subjects approved by Central/State Education Boards, with at least 50% marks and 50% marks in English. Refer to official recruitment notification for more detail about post wise educational qualification. Selection Process: Candidates would be selected based on their performance in written test, physical fitness test, interview and medical examination. Important Dates: Written Test, Interview and Medical Examiantion will be held in all the Districts of State of Punjab and Union Territory of Chandigarh 12-04-2014: Written Test and Physical Fitness Test (P F T) for Group ‘Y’ [For Automobile Technician, GTI and IAF (P)] Trades. 13-04-2014: Interview and Medical Examination for candidates passing the Written Test and PFT on 12-04-2014. 14-04-2014 & 15-04-2014: Reserve Days Declaration of Results on Website:31-10-2014.
