Default Re: Eye Eligibility to join Indian Air Force (IAF)

Here I am giving you the minimum eye eligibility which is required to join Indian Air Force

Vision:
There are different visual standards specific to different trades.
However, the common minimum visual standards acceptable for some of the trades are :-
Unaided vision : 6/36 each eye.
Correctable with spectacles : at least 6/9 each eye.
Diopteric power : not exceeding +3.5 Diopters including Astigmatism.

Field of vision:

Full (v) Color perception : Minimum CP-III (vi) Corneal Surgery : PRK/LASIK is not acceptable

Indian Air Force (Police) & Indian Air Force (Security) trades require 6/6 vision each eye unaided and CP-II i.e. no use of spectacles permissible for these trades.
