Join Merchant Navy after 12th & required percantage

Hello, I want to know that how to get into Merchant navy after 12th & is there any percentage criteria exist or not?

Hello, Merchant Navy is a great career option after 12th and it is perfect for those who love travelling, adventure and interested in seeing new places as well.

Eligibility for Merchant Navy:-

-Merchant Navy can be joined after 12th as an officer through various degree or diploma courses in mainly two specialized fields, Nautical (Deck) and Marine engineering.
-Unmarried Female and Male candidate are eligible
- Your age must be in between 16-25 Years
- You should be physically and Mentally strong, fit for sea-services under standard norms

Eye-Sight:-
6/6 without glasses,
No color Blindness.

There is no any specific criteria for percentage.

There are various courses to join after 10th or 12th in both private and govt training institute recognized and approved by Director General of Shipping, Ministry of Shipping.

Some of the Merchant navy courses to join after 12th are:-

Pre Sea Training:-
3 month Pre-Sea Course in Deck rating.

3 month Pre-Sea Course in Engine rating.

4 month Pre-Sea Course in Saloon rating.

HND (Higher National Diploma) Nautical Science

HND (Higher National Diploma) Marine Engineering

B.E Marine Engineering (4-Year Degree course in Marine Engineering)

B.S. in Nautical Technology (3 years training at Institute + 1 year at Sea)

3-Year B.Sc. Degree in Nautical Science.
