University of California Irvine; is a public research university which is located in the Irvine area of California State in USA. The university was founded in the year of 1965 and is one of the 10 general campuses of the UC system.

English requirements for the admission of the transfer students are given below:

The least accepted score for the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is 80 as on the Internet-based test, and 550 as on the paper-based test.

Other ways of showing the English proficiency by the students are given below:


Candidate can score 3, 4 or 5 on the AP examination in English Language and Composition or English Literature and Composition;
Candidate can score 5, 6 or 7 on the IB Higher Level Examination in English (Language A);
Candidate can score 6 or higher on the IB Standard Level Examination in English (Language A);
Candidate can score 7 or higher on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS);
Candidate can score 560 or higher on the SAT Reasoning Test, Writing section.

Some of the required college/university courses which are required by the transfer students are given below:
Student must complete 60 semester (90 quarter) UC transferable units

He must have two UC transferable college courses in English composition

He must have one UC transferable college course in mathematical concepts and quantitative reasoning
He must have four UC transferable college courses from at least two of the given subject areas: the arts and humanities, the social and behavioral sciences, and the physical and biological sciences
Those who are the nonresident transfer students must have a cumulative UC transferable GPA of 2.8
