what is the syllabus for the indian coast guard? Indian Coast Guard conducts examination to recruit the candidate for the post of Group ‘A’ Gazetted Officer in the rank of Assistant Commandant. The selection procedure for this exam consist of following stages PSB Preliminary Selection Examination Final Selection PABT for Pilots Medical Examination Indian Coast Guard Syllabus Preliminary Selection Exam PSB: PSB consists of the following tests- Mental Ability Test PP & DT Picture Perception and Discussion Test Final Selection: Final Selection will be based on following tests: Psychologist test Group Testing Interview (Personality test) PABT for Pilots Only MAT (Mental Ability Test) MAT consist of following two sections- General Awareness Test of Reasoning (Verbal & Non Verbal Reasoning) Picture Perception and Discussion Test Psychological Tests are the ones given below: Thematic Apperception Test (TAT) – -12 Pictures including one blank are shown for 30 sec each. - Candidates are asked to write a story around the situation of picture in 4 min. - In the blank slide, they have to think a picture of their own choice and write a story accordingly. Word Association Test (WAT) – -In this test, a series of 60 words are shown to the candidates one after another for 15 seconds each. -The candidate is required to write a sentence on that word Situation Reaction Test (SRT) - -This test consists of 60 routine life situations on which and the candidate is asked to write his reactions by completing the sentences, as to how they would feel, think and act if they are in same situation. Self Description – -In 15 Mins. Duration, Candidate is asked to write five separate paragraphs on each context about the opinion of his parents/guardian, friends, teachers/ superiors.
