 apply for pilot/navigator post in Indian coast guard?
sir , i am an aeronautical engineering graduate. i want to know whether i can apply for the pilot/navigator post in Indian coast guard. If you passed graduation with 55% or more and with Maths or Physics then you can apply for pilot job. Some content of the file has been given here: 1. Indian Coast Guard Pilot & Navigator are one of the key positions in the Indian Coast Guard services The selection process to Indian Coast Guard services is same as the Indian Navy, Indian Army and Indian Air Force. The process is conveyed and organized by the Service Selection Board (SSB) one has to follow the eligibility criteria and rules of SSB. 1) General Duty (Pilot/Navigator) Age: Age limit is between 19-25 years of age Qualification: Candidates should have a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline. Also applicants must have a 10+2 Science stream with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as the main subjects Medical And Physical Standards Minimum height requirement- 162.5 cm Maximum height- 197 cm Minimum leg length- 99 cm Maximum leg length- 120 cm Weight must be in proportion to height Eyesight requirement- 6/6 without glasses in both eyes Chest expansion minimum 5 cm. 2 Short Service Appointment (Pilot Only) Under the SS entry mode, appointment of candidates is made for a period of 8 years. That is why it is called the Short Service appointment. This period of 8 years can be extended to 10 or even 14 years. Age Limit Between 19-25 years of age. In case of SC/ST candidates 5 years of age relaxation is given. In case of OBC candidates 3 years of age relaxation is provided. Educational Qualifications Required This entry mode is for only those who possess CPL (Commercial Pilot Licence) approved by the DGCA. Also, 12th standard schooling is also required for one to be considered eligible to apply for this post.
