Indian Institute of Technology Department of Management Studies is conducting MBA and my cousin wants to join that.. He has completed his graduation from university of Nepal. What formalities does he require, what is the exam pattern.

Indian Institute of Technology Department of Management Studies (IITD-DMS) conducts each and every year an admission process for admission in to its Part time program for MBA. It is a 3 year part time (evening) management program with focus on the Technology management specially for working executives.

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree of minimum 4 years in any of these field(Engineering and Technology/Agricultural Engineering/Architecture/Pharmacy) OR Master’s Degree in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Statistics, Electronic Science, Computer Application, Informational/Computational Science, Operations Research, Environmental Science. Candidates with a Master’s degree in Economics or Commerce can also apply, but they must have a score of at least 60 Percent or a minimum CGPA of 6.75 along with a work experience of not less than 2 years. 5% relaxation is given to SC/ST candidates.

Candidates have to apply through a form downloaded from the website after that they have to send the filled form to IIT Delhi along with a demand draft.

Selection Procedure:
Selection Process includes a Written Test, Group Discussion and Interview.

Important Dates:
Availability of Application Forms: end of the month of February, 2011
Last date of receipt of application form: third week of March, 2011
Written test: end of the month of March, 2011
Group discussion/Interview: third week of April, 2011
Declaration of Results: 1st week of May, 2011

Pattern of Examination:
Written Test will be of 2 hours consisting of 120 multiple choice questions
Verbal Communication: 30 questions
Analytical/Logical Reasoning: 30 questions
Quantitative/Data Interpretation: 30 questions
Business Awareness: 30 questions

Selection Procedure:
Candidates are shortlisted on the basis of their written test scores and then called for interviews though for candidates with exceptional profiles written test may not be conducted and they are directly called for interviews.

Date of Opening PGEE Portal: 01 Feb 2011
Last Date for the Submission of Applications through the PGEE Portal: 22 March 2011
Last Date for the receipt of Application fees at IIIT, Hyderabad: 24 March 2011

The candidates must have the bachelor's Degree in any branch of Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture/ Pharmacy/ B.Sc. Agriculture Engineering (minimum 4 years after 10+2).

Last Date for receipt of completed application forms: January 29, 2011
Group Discussion/ Interviews: 26-29 March 2011
Exam date 4 April, 2011

Application form for the admission can be obtain by sending a demand draft for Rs.1000/- (Rs.500/- for SC/ST/PH candidates) made in favour of “Registrar IIT Delhi” payable at New Delhi. In order to avoid rejection you must fill in the details of this draft on the Application Form as specified.

To get the admission in MBA at IITD the candidates will have to give the written test and short listed candidates will be called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview rounds. The duration of the paper is two hours.

This written Test will be of 2 hours consisting of 120 multiple choice questions. The pattern of the test is going to be like following.
30 questions of Verbal Communication
30 questions of Analytical/Logical Reasoning
30 questions of Quantitative/Data Interpretation
30 questions of Business Awareness

IITD DMS’s Exam Eligibility

-You should have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology/ Architecture/ Pharmacy/ B.Sc. Agriculture Engineering
OR
- Must have Master’s degree in any branch of Physical/Chemical/Mathematical Sciences like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Application, Electronic Science, Environmental Science, Operations Research, Computational/Information Science, Agriculture or Master’s Degree in Commerce/ Economics with minimum 60% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA in the qualifying exam.
-There will be relaxation of 5% marks or equivalent in CGPA for SC/ST candidates.
