Reserve Bank of India conducts Examination for the positions of grade A and grade B officers, every year by its Services Board named Reserve Bank of India Services Board,

Eligibility Criteria :
A First Class Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 60% marks or an equivalent grade
A Second Class Master's Degree with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade
A Doctorate Degree with 50% marks in Master's Degree or equivalent grade

Application Procedure:
The candidates have to apply online through the website. Whenever the admission portal opens the candidates have to fill in the required details. The payment can be done through credit card/demand draft

Selection Procedure:
The selection to the posts through Reserve Bank Officers Examination is done through Written Examinations followed by Interview.

Age Limit:
A candidate must have be Between 21 and 30 year as on 30 Jan 2011

Paper Pattern:
Phase I (Objective Type Test)
1. General Awareness
2. English Language
3. Quantitative Aptitude
4. Reasoning.
Phase II (Descriptive Type Test)
Paper I - English
Paper II - Economic and Social Issues and
Paper III - Finance and Management

The exam pattern for this exam is:
Written exam will be held in two phases
Phase I (Objective Type Test)
This Paper is of 3 hours duration for 200 marks.
The Paper comprises of four sections:
1. General Awareness
2. English Language
3. Quantitative Aptitude
4. Reasoning.
Phase II (Descriptive Type Test)
The Phase II Examination will be conducted only for those candidates who are successful in Phase I (Objective Type Test). The date and time-table will be intimated to the candidates concerned.
The Examination will consist of three Descriptive Type papers -
Paper I - English
Paper II - Economic and Social Issues and
Paper III - Finance and Management.

Each of these papers is of 3 hours duration carrying 100 marks
Phase I (except the test of English) and Papers II and III of Phase II will be set bilingually in Hindi and English. Phase I is Objective Type and only marking the correct choice is required. However, Papers II and III of Phase II can be answered either in Hindi or English at the candidate's option.

RBI generally conducts the exam in following date pattern...
Notification for this Examination month of July
The last date for submission of applications is 3rd week of August
Exam date month of December

First Phase-Paper I (Objective Type) of three hours duration is held in the month of December. Second Phase (Descriptive Type) is conducted generally in the month of May in respect of those candidates who are successful' in Objective Type examination (Separately for each test) on the basis of standard prescribed by the Board. It consists of Paper II and Paper III.
