Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited - the corporate entity of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, is a Navaratna PSE under the Ministry of Steel.

Visakhapatnam Steel Plant or Vizag Steel is the first Shore based Integrated Steel Plant in the country and is known for its Quality Products and Customer Delight.

A market leader in long Steel products, it caters to the requirements of the Construction, Manufacturing Automobile, General Engineering and Fabrication sectors.

It is an integrated steel producer in Visakhapatnam, India built using German and Soviet technology.

Founded in 1971, it focuses on producing value-added steel, with 214,000 tonnes produced in August 2010, out of 252,000 tonnes total of salable steel produced. It is the largest single site plant in India and Asia minor (or south and east Asia combined).
