Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Ltd. Company was incorporated on February 18, 1982 in Visakhapatnam as a private limited company with the name of ‘Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited’, under the Companies Act, 1956 with the Registrar of Companies, Andhra Pradesh (“RoC”).

Pursuant to the approval of the Ministry of Steel (letter no. 5(5)/2010-VSP) dated December 21, 2011 and a resolution passed by the shareholders at the extraordinary general meeting dated April 21, 2012, the Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Ltd. Company was converted into a public limited company and a fresh certificate of incorporation was issued by the RoC on May 10, 2012.
