Hey the Next Upcoming Aircraft Carrier of Indian Navy is named as INS Vishal that will be commissioned in 2025

It will be built by Cochin Shipyard Limited for the Indian Navy and the second aircraft carrier built in India.


s proposed to be a flat-top carrier with a displacement of 65,000 tonnes and might have a CATOBAR system, unlike the STOBAR system on IAC-I


General characteristics

Class and type: Vikrant-class aircraft carrier

Displacement: 65,000 tonnes

Propulsion: Conventional or Nuclear

Aircraft carried: 50-55 fixed- and rotary-wing (planned)


The First Aircraft Carrier of Indian Navy was “INS Vikrant” and the General Characteristics of that Carrier is:

Class and type: Vikrant-class aircraft carrier

Displacement: 40,000 tonnes (44,000 short tons)

Length: 262 m (860 ft)


Beam: 60 m (200 ft)

Draught: 8.4 m (28 ft)

Depth: 25.6 m (84 ft)

Installed power: 4 × General Electric LM2500+ gas turbines

Propulsion: Two shafts

Speed: 28 knots (52 km/h; 32 mph)

Range: 8,000 nautical miles (15,000 km; 9,200 mi)

Crew: 1,400 (including air crew)

Sensors and processing systems:

-Selex RAN-40L long-range early warning and surveillance AESA radar.
-Elta EL/M-2248 MF-STAR AESA multifunction radar.

Armament:

-4 × Otobreda 76 mm (3 in) dual purpose cannons
-Barak 1 & Barak 8 surface-to-air missile launchers (2 x 32 cells VLS)
-AK-630 CIWS[2]

Aircraft carried:

-fixed-wing aircraft including
-Mikoyan MiG-29K and HAL Tejas
-rotatory-wing including
--Kamov Ka-31 and HAL Dhruv.

Aviation facilities: 10,000 m2 (110,000 sq ft) flight deck
