Eligibility for KCET 2012 exam:

For Medical / Dental Courses :
Candidate should have passed Karnataka 2nd PUC / 12th std. or equivalent exam with Chemistry, Physics and Biology as optional subjects and with English with minimum of 50% of marks

For Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes are eligibility will be 40% in aggregate in PCB group both in qualifying examination and Common Entrance Test.

For Engineering / Technology Courses :

The applicant should have passed Karnataka 2nd PUC / 12th Std. or equivalent exam with Physics, Mathematics along with Chemistry / Bio – Technology / Computer Science / Electronics / Biology as optional subjects with English with minimum of 45% of marks in aggregate in Common Entrance Test.

For Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes, the minimum marks for the purpose of eligibility will be 40% in the qualifying examination.

As you want to know about the KCET PG Medical Entrance Exam but Karnataka Examinations Authority conducts the Post Graduate (PG) Common Entrance Test (CET) for admission to first year / first semester MBA/MCA/M.E./M.Tech/M.BA (Infrastructure Management) courses in the State of Karnataka

Karnataka PGCET Eligibility Criteria

For Full Time M.E. / M.Tech / M.Arch / MBA (Infrastructure Management) Course:
- You should have valid GATE score as defined by KEA
- You should have passed prescribed qualifying examination or equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% marks taken together in all the subjects of all the years / semesters of the Degree Examination (45% of marks in case of SC, ST and Category-I candidates)

For Part Time M.E. / M.Tech / M.Arch courses:
- You should have passed prescribed qualifying examination or equivalent examination as specified with aggregate minimum of 50% marks taken together in all the subjects of all the years / semesters of the Degree (45% of marks in case of SC, ST and Category-I candidates)
- Must have Work experience of 3 years in an establishment and must be Working in an organization situated within a radial distance of 40 km from the institution

Exceptions:
If you have valid GATE score then you will be given first preference for admission to all M.E. / M.Tech / M.Arch / MBA (Infrastructure Management) courses.

Karnataka PGCET Exam Pattern:
Part 1: 50 questions of 1 mark each
Part 2: 25 questions of 2 marks each

Karnataka PGET is a reputed medical entrance examination for admission to post graduate medical courses offer by Karnataka Examination Authority.

Important dates :
Online Registration for PGET 10th-31stJanuary, 2014
Examination Dates for PGET 11th-15thFebruary, 2014
Declaration of Results By 28thFebruary, 2014

Eligibility:
A candidate who has studied and passed in one or more Government
recognized, educational institutions located in the State of Karnataka
for a minimum period of TEN academic years as on the last date fixed for the submission of application form, commencing from 1ststandard to MBBS and must have appeared and passed either SSLC/10th standard or 2ndPUC/12th standard examination from Karnataka State.
In case of the candidate who has taken more than one year to pass a
class or standard, the years of academic study is counted as one year
only.
