What is the eligibility for NISER NEST 2012? I have got 76% marks in PCM and I am a resident of mubarakpur, am I eligible to appear for this exam?

NISER stands for National Institute of Science Education and Research. It is a research institution in Bhubaneswar, Orissa, India. NEST (National Entrance Screening Test) is an exam for admission to NISER (National Institute of Science Education and Research), Bhubaneswar and University of Mumbai – Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE CBS). Candidates who have completed Class XII with at least 60% marks in aggregate or equal grade from any accredited Board in India are eligible to apply.

National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) has declared the notification for National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) 2014.

Eligibility:

Should have passed class 12 (HSC) exam with minimum 60% marks
(For SC/ ST/ PD candidate’s 55% marks)

Exam fee:
General/ OBC INR 700/-
SC/ ST/ PD INR 350/-

Important Dates:

Last date for online application: 08/03/2014
Last date for receipt of form: 08/03/2014
Admit card will available from: 08/04/2014
