Collectors are the highest government officials in a state. Central government appoints collectors for handling various administrative purposes in a district. Collectors are responsible for handling various tasks like taxation, revenue collection, and law and order maintaining. Now I want to tell you that for becoming a collector, firstly you have to complete your 12th class in any stream and then you will have to complete your graduation in any discipline. Eligibility: Candidate must be a citizen of India. Bhutan, Nepal or Tibet citizens also be eligible for this. Candidates must have a graduation degree in any stream. And now for become a collector candidate have to qualify these exams. Who want to become a collector firstly they have to qualify the preliminary test called Civil Service Aptitude Test (CSAT). And then they will have to qualify the civil services exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission. Skills required for a Collector Collectors must have good leadership skills to coordinate their subordinates. And possess good administrative skills to solve various law and order issues. Collectors must have the ability to make quick decisions in the case of emergencies.

They should have the control of planning permission. Qualifying Exam You have clear civil services exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission to become collector. You should first qualify the preliminary test called Civil Service Aptitude Test (CSAT). This preliminary test is common for all civil services IAS, IPS, IFS and IRS. Those who qualify in this test can attend the main exam and interview. Eligibility- Degree from central or state or deemed or open university The age of the candidates applying for this exam should be between twenty one and thirty years. However relaxation in age limit is given for privileged candidates. Candidate should be a citizen of India, Bhutan, Nepal or Tibet. Skills required for a Collector Collectors should possess good administrative skills to solve various law and order issues. They should have good leadership skills to coordinate their subordinates. They should have the ability to make quick decisions in the case of emergencies. They should also possess good interpersonal and communication skills.
