Outside Student are not eligible for WBJEE as it is applicable for the students of West Bengal students only

WBJEE Eligibility Criteria for Residential/Domicile purposes:
You must have been residents of West Bengal for a consecutive period of 10 years as on December 31
OR
The parents of the candidates must be permanent residents of West Bengal with a permanent West Bengal home address.

Requirement of Domicile Certificate:
-State-Aided Universities do not require a domicile certificate
-Government Engg /Technical Colleges: Domicile Certificate is mandatory
-Self Financed Institutes do not require a domicile certificate
-Domicile Certificate is mandatory for Reserved Category candidates.

Hello sir I wan to know can a students of other state of India eligible to write WBJEE, as I am belong to Rajasthan and wan to appear in WBJEE exam for admision Jadvapur University, can I go for it

Yes you can go for it , bcoz there are approx 2,000 seats in seven government engineering colleges; the seats are reserved for students who are residents of Bengal state but rest of the engineering colleges including Jadvapur University, Bengal Engineering and Science University can admit students without looking at the domicile certificate,


WBJEE Eligibility


1. Citizenship :
Students must be a citizen of India.

2. WBJEE Age Restriction :

Engineering / Technology ( other than Marine Engineering ), Pharmacy & Architecture Courses : Candidates must be at least 17 ( seventeen ) years of age. There is no upper age limit.WBS Scholarship,

Marine Engineering Course : Candidates must be at least 17 (seventeen) years of age or above and must not be above 25 ( twenty five ) years of age as on as per guidelines of appropriate authority.

Medical / Dental Courses : Candidates must be at least 17 ( seventeen ) years of age as. There is no upper age limit.


WBJEE Reservation of seats for admission under Management Quota


This is applicable only for Self Financing Colleges of the State offering B.E. / B.Tech. / B. Pharm / B. Arch. Courses. It is also applicable for courses running on self- financing basis under the University Institute of Technology, Burdwan University.

A Maximum of 10% of the approved seats in respect of different courses of such Institutions may be admitted under such management quota directly by the Concerned Management of those Institutions. However, Institutions may or may not opt for admission of students under such quota.
