Here I am giving you solved question paper for advanced Joint entrance examination in PDF file attached with it so you can get it free of cost ..

1. One end of a horizontal thick copper wire of length 2L and radius 2R is welded to an end of another
horizontal thin copper wire of length L and radius R. When the arrangement is stretched by applying forces
at two ends, the ratio of the elongation in the thin wire to that in the thick wire is
(A) 0.25 (B) 0.50
(C) 2.00 (D) 4.00
Sol. (C)

5. The diameter of a cylinder is measured using a Vernier callipers with no zero error. It is found that the zero
of the Vernier scale lies between 5.10 cm and 5.15 cm of the main scale. The Vernier scale has 50 divisions
equivalent to 2.45 cm. The 24th division of the Vernier scale exactly coincides with one of the main scale
divisions. The diameter of the cylinder is
(A) 5.112 cm (B) 5.124 cm
(C) 5.136 cm (D) 5.148 cm
Sol. (B)

6. Two non-reactive monoatomic ideal gases have their atomic masses in the ratio 2 : 3. The ratio of their
partial pressures, when enclosed in a vessel kept at a constant temperature, is 4 : 3. The ratio of their
densities is
(A) 1 : 4 (B) 1 : 2 (C) 6 : 9 (D) 8 : 9
Sol. (D)

8. The image of an object, formed by a plano-convex lens at a distance of 8 m behind the lens, is real and is
one-third the size of the object. The wavelength of light inside the lens is 2
3
times the wavelength in free
space. The radius of the curved surface of the lens is
(A) 1 m (B) 2 m (C) 3 m (D) 4 m
Sol. (C)

20. A uniform circular disc of mass 50 kg and radius 0.4 m is rotating with an angular velocity of 10 rad s-1
about its own axis, which is vertical. Two uniform circular rings, each of mass 6.25 kg and radius 0.2 m,
are gently placed symmetrically on the disc in such a manner that they are touching each other along the
axis of the disc and are horizontal. Assume that the friction is large enough such that the rings are at rest
relative to the disc and the system rotates about the original axis. The new angular velocity (in rad s-1) of
the system is
Sol. (8)

The compound that does NOT liberate CO2, on treatment with aqueous sodium bicarbonate solution, is
(A) Benzoic acid (B) Benzenesulphonic acid
(C) Salicylic acid (D) Carbolic acid (Phenol)
Sol. (D)

Paper pattern of JEE Advance:

Paper-I

Question paper format:

The question paper consists of 3 parts (Part I: Physics, , Part II:Chemistry , Part III Mathematics) . Each part had 2 sections.

Section I had 10 Multiple Response hoice questions. Each question has 4 choices (A), (B), (C) and (D), out of which more than one is correct.

Section II had 10 MCIT(One integer value correct type) questions.

Marking Scheme:

In each question, there were 3 marks if you have darkened only the bubble corresponding to the correct answer and zero mark if no bubble is darkened and incorrect. (i.e there is no negative marking for incorrect answers

In summary for each subject the pattern was as under

Paper-2

Question paper format:

The question paper consists of 3 parts (Part-I : Mathematics, Part-II : Physics, Part-III : Chemistry). Each part has 3 sections
Section I contains 10 multiple choice questions. Each question has 4 choices (A), (B), (C) and (D), out of which only one is correct. (Multiple choice question with only one correct answer)

Section II had 6 Comprehension Type(CD) questions. There are Six questions

relate to the three paragraphs with two questions on each paragraph. Each question has only one correct answer among the four given options (A), (B), (C) and (D).

Section III contains 4 mtching list type (MRMT) questions. Each question contains statements given in 2 columns. Statements in the first column have to be matched with statements in the second column. The answers to these questions have to be appropriately bubbled in the ORS as per the instructions given at the beginning of the section. (Multiple Response Matching Type Questions (also referred as Matrix – Matching Type questions)

Marking Scheme:
In Section I, for each question , there were 3 marks if you have darkened only the bubble corresponding to the correct answer and zero mark if no bubble is darkened. In all other cases, minus one (-1) mark will be awarded.

In Section II, for each question, there were 4 marks if you darkened all the bubble(s) corresponding to the correct answer and zero mark if no bubble is darkened. In all other cases, minus one (–1) mark will be awarded .

In Section III, for each question, there will 8 marks if you darken ALL the bubbles corresponding ONLY to the correct answer or awarded 2 mark each for correct bubbling of answer in any row. No negative mark will be awarded for an incorrectly bubbled answer

In Section IV, for each question , there were 4 marks if you have darkened only the bubble corresponding to the correct answer and zero mark if no bubble is darkened. In all other cases, minus one (-1) mark will be awarded.

There were 19 questions from each subject (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) totalling to 80 marks. The total questions from all subjects were 57 totalling to 240 marks.
