Here I am giving you exam pattern for Test Of English as a Foreign Language examination for admission in reputed colleges ..

TOEFL iBT Test Sections

Section - Reading
Time Limit - 60–80 minutes
Questions - 36–56 questions
Tasks - Read 3 or 4 passages from academic texts and answer questions.

Section - Listening
Time Limit - 60–90 minutes
Questions - 34–51 questions
Tasks - Listen to lectures, classroom discussions and conversations, then answer questions.

Section - Speaking
Time Limit - 20 minutes
Questions - 6 tasks
Tasks - Express an opinion on a familiar topic; speak based on reading and listening tasks.

Section - Writing
Time Limit - 50 minutes
Questions - 2 tasks
Tasks - Write essay responses based on reading and listening tasks; support an opinion in writing.

In Internet based test, candidate’s aptitude is judged on the scale of 0 to 120 points.
Each of the four sections receives a scale score from 0 to 30.
In Paper based test, the score ranges from 310 to 677.

Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is standardized test to examine the ability and skill of a candidate about using English. The Test score is required for admission in abroad college.

TOEFL Exam Pattern: The exam has 4 sections. Following are the exam pattern of the exam.

Reading
Duration: 60–80 minutes
Number of questions: 36–56 questions
What to do: Read 3 or 4 passages from academic texts and answer questions.

Listening
Duration: 60–90 minutes
Number of questions: 34–51 questions
What to do: Listen to lectures, classroom discussions and conversations, then answer questions.

Break 10 minutes: There is a break for the 10 minutes.

Speaking
Duration: 20 minutes
Number of questions: 6 tasks
What to do: Express an opinion on a familiar topic; speak based on reading and listening tasks.

Writing
Duration: 50 minutes
Number of questions: 2 tasks
What to do: Write essay responses based on reading and listening tasks; support an opinion in writing.
