IAS exam details :
Educational Qualification
You have to passed an undergraduate Degree from a well Recognized University or equivalent.

Age - limits:
21-30 years as on 1st August of the year of Examination.

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Indian Administrative Service exam details:

Exam dates:
Civil Services (Preliminary) exam will be held on August 23, 2015

Civil Services (mains) exam will be held on 18.12.2015 (SUNDAY)

Age Limit:
The candidate should be minimum 21 years of age for applying and the maximum age limit to apply for the UPSC Exams is 29 years.

Qualification:
The candidate should have a degree completed from any of the institutes established by an Act of Parliament or any University deemed by the University Grant Commission.

Exam Pattern:
The Civil Services Examination will consist of 2 successive stages:

(i) Civil Services Preliminary Examination (Objective type) for the selection of candidates for the Main Examination; and

(ii) Civil Services Main Examination (Written and Interview)
