Indian Engineering Services (IES) are the civil services that meet the technical and managerial functions of the Government of India. IES officers are selected by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) through combined four-stage competitive examination (comprising six tests), called the Engineering Services Examination (ESE). Career Progression of IES Officer: At the time of selection: Assistant Executive Engineer Assistant Works Manager Assistant Director After 3–4 years of service (including probation period): Executive Engineer Works Manager Deputy Director (equivalent to Under Secretary to Government of India). I have been selected as assistant director in central electricity authority at dehli.what is the future of new I e s grade a officer in this department.I have a other question also, I have resigned Bharat petolieum ,which service is better.in this salary is low rather than bpcl.
