IPS or Indian police Service is one of the most reputed services of the nation. Students who aspire to dedicate their life for the country join Indian Police Services. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts the IPS exam every year.

Exam stages of CSE
Preliminary exam (400 marks)
Mains exam (2000 marks)

IPS preparation tips:

==To prepare for any examination, proper learning and time management is very much important.

==According to the examination pattern of IPS Preliminary exam is he qualifying stage. So, you should properly prepare for this exam.
==This exam has two papers in which one is optional & other one is General Studies

== For optional subject, candidates can select subjects like geography, political sciences, public administration and history.

As you are preparing for the IPS Exam I will help you here to tell some tips and study material so that you can easily clear the exam and score well in it.

Here are some tips which help you to prepare for the IPS exam

1. Try to be creative in your answer descriptive question whatever you will write in the paper shows good impression.

2. Choose the subject for civil service main examination according to your stream of study in which subject you have good knowledge choose only that subject

3. First read the syllabus of each paper then choose the paper according to your knowledge.

4. Do not be tensed at the time of examination. if the question is tough then it is tough for everyone. so you should not worry about you. Whatever you will know just answer them.

5. Try to be prepare for english language paper. to do good in this paper you must have good knowledge in english. so you must be prepare very well for the english subject.

Here is the exam pattern of IPS.

Preliminary Examination:-

The Examination shall comprise of two compulsory papers of 200 marks each.

(i) Both the question papers will be of the objective type (multiple choice questions).

(ii) The question papers will be set both in Hindi and English. However, questions relating to English Language Comprehension skills of Class X level will be tested through passages from English Language only without providing Hindi translation thereof in the question paper.

Each paper will be of two hours duration. Blind candidates will however, be allowed an extra time of twenty minutes for each paper.

Main Examination:-

Paper-A (One of the Indian Language to be selected by the candidate from the Languages included in the Eighth Schedule to the Constitution). 300 Marks

Paper-B English 300 Marks Papers to be counted for merit

Paper-I Essay 250 Marks

Paper-II General Studies-I 250 Marks

(Indian Heritage and Culture, History and Geography of the World and Society)

Paper-III General Studies -II 250 Marks (Governance, Constitution, Polity, Social Justice and International relations)

Paper-IV General Studies -III 250 Marks

(Technology, Economic Development, Bio-diversity, Environment, Security and Disaster Management)

Paper-V General Studies -IV 250 Marks (Ethics, Integrity and Aptitude)

Paper-VI Optional Subject - Paper 1 250 Marks

Paper-VII Optional Subject - Paper 2 250 Marks

Sub Total (Written test) - 1750 Marks

Personality Test - 275 Marks

Grand Total - 2025 Marks
