Here I am giving you information about the eligibility criteria to join the Flying wing of Indian Airforce

After completing engineering course you can join Indian Air force in flying branch through the Air Force Academy.

For Flying Branch –
Educational Qualifications:
Graduates (Minimum three year degree course) in any discipline from a
recognized University who have attained minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together and
have passed Maths and Physics at 10+2 level OR BE / B Tech degree (Four year course) from a recognized
University with minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together

Physical Fitness Details:-
Minimum height should be 162.5 Cm's.
leg length should be minimum 99 Cm's and not above 120 Cm's.
Thigh Length should not be above 64 Cm's.
vision should be 6/6 without Glasses and 6/12 with Glasses.

Age details:-
Minimum Age should be 19 years.
Your age should not be above 23 years.

Exam Pattern:-
This Exam will conducted in three stages.
STAGE 1 - Intelligence Test.
It will include questions from:-
Logical Reasoning.
Elementary Mathematics.

STAGE 2 -
Psychological Test.
Group Test.
Interview Test.
STAGE 3 - Pilot Aptitude Battery Test

There are three branches in air force which are Flying, Ground duty and Technical branch.

Eligibility for these branches are:
For men, 10+2 / Intermediate (only in the Flying branch), graduates (all three branches), engineers (all three branches) and postgraduates (all branches except the Flying branch)

For women, graduate (all three branches), engineering (all three branches) and post graduate degrees (all branches except the Flying branch)

18yrs: 44 46 47 48 50 52 53 55 57 59 61 63 65 67 70 72 74 77
20 yrs: 46 48 49 50 52 53 55 57 59 61 62 64 67 69 71 73 76 78
22 yrs: 47 49 50 51 53 55 57 58 60 62 63 65 67 70 72 74 77 79

Height And Weight Standards for Women (Average weight in Kg)
18yrs: 36.8 37 38 39 40 42 43 43 45 46 46 47 49 50 51 53 55
20yrs: 40 41 42 42 42.5 43 44 44.5 46 47 47.5 48 50.5 51.5 52.5 55 56.5
22 yrs: 41 42 43 43 44 45 45.5 46 46.5 47.5 48.5 49 51.5 52.5 53.5 56 57.5


The air force, time of release of advertisements

The advertisement release in month of April/ November , June/ Decemebr and January/ july etc.

Exam pattern: the exam contains mainly general awareness, aptitude, reasoning and English.
