IIT Gandhinagar Director Mr. Sudhir K Jain have done:
Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) from University of Roorkee in 1979,
Master of Science from California Institute of Technology (Caltech), Pasadena, USA in 1980,
Doctor of Philosophy, also from Caltech, in 1983.

After completed his education he joined IIT Kanpur as a Civil Engineering faculty in 1984 and then he moved to IIT Gandhinagar as its Director in June 2009.
