The Kendriya Vidyalaya at Gangtok was established in 1976. The School is affiliated to CBSE. The School provides the education for class 1st to class 12th. It is a Co-Educational School. The school building of primary section has been damaged in a earthquake since long. Till date no repair has been carried out and life of students are been kept in high risk by school management and by KVS. Even it has been come to notice that IIT Roorkee has declared the school as inhabitable.
