Is there any notification of Indian Engineering Services IES Exam of Union Public Services Commission release, if yes then provide me the details of it?

The Engineering Services Exam/ Indian Engineering Services ESE is a competitive examination conducted by Union Public Services Commission (UPSC) for recruitment to the Indian Engineering Services (IES) 2015.

The notification of IES exam will release in the month of January/February and the exam will conduct in June/July

Categories of which recruitment is made through the Examination

i. Civil Engineering

ii. Mechanical Engineering

iii. Electrical Engineering

iv. Electronics & Tele-communication Engineering

IES exam eligibility-

Educational Qualifications

Degree in Engineering from a recognised university or equivalent

M.Sc degree or its equivalent with Wireless Communications, Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering as special subjects also acceptable for certain Services/posts only.

Candidates appearing at their engineering degree or equivalent examination are also eligible to compete. C

Age-limits

21-30 years on 1st August of the year of Examination.

Age relaxation for reserved category.

IES Syllabus:-

Apart from General Awareness and General English, there will be separate papers for every discipline i.e. Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering.

Questions for each discipline will be from the third year or fourth year engineering syllabus of B.E/B.Tech examination.
