The National Institute of Communicable Diseases (NICD) was founded on 30 July 1963, through Government of India and it is situated in New Delhi. It was based to grow a national centre for education and research in several disciplines of epidemiology and control of communicable diseases which is under association with Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi.
