Looking for the SBI Exam papers pattern for 2011 examination.

State Bank of India conducts Probationary Officer exam every year to select eligible candidates for the vacant seats.

Examination paper pattern:
The examination has two parts, which are 1.Written test and 2.Group Discussion and Interview.

I. Written test:
This test is of 2 papers as
a. Objective paper: This paper consists of 4 sections which are:
1. Test of English Language.
2. Test of General Awareness., Marketing and Computers
3. Test of data analysis and interpretation.
4. Test of Reasoning.

b. Descriptive Paper: This paper is of comprehension, short précis, letter writing and essay.



SBI PO (State Bank of India Probationary Officer) Exam is conducted in three phases namely Preliminary, Mains and Group Discussion & Interview.

SBI PO Exam Pattern for Preliminary Exam

The SBI PO Preliminary exam is an objective type test and is conducted for one-hour duration.
The exam has 3 sections having a total of 100 questions with a maximum score of 100 marks. For each wrong answer, there is a negative marking of 0.25.
In order to qualify, it is required of the aspirants to clear the sectional as well as the overall cut off marks for Prelims.


SBI PO Exam Pattern for Main Exam

SBI PO Mains has two sections- Objective and Descriptive.
Objective section is of 200 marks and Descriptive section carries 50 marks.
Both of these tests are taken online.
A descriptive test will take place right after the completion of the objective test on the same day.
The Mains objective test is of 3 hours duration and consists of 4 sections carrying a total of 200 marks.
The objective test has separate timings for every section.

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidate must be citizen of India
Candidate should have completed their graduation with at least 60 % aggregate from the recognized University to be eligible for this course.
Age limit:
Candidate must be above 21 years of age and must not be more than 30 years of age


Application Procedure:
The application fee including the postal charges for the general candidates is Rs. 500 whereas for SC/ ST/ PWD candidates are required to pay only the postal charges which are Rs. 50. The application fee is to be deposited in any branch of SBI
