I WANT PURCASE A PLOT WORTH 1500000 IN VISAKHAPATNAM. BUT I DO NOT HAVE SUFFICENT MONEY .CAN SBI PROVIDE LOAN EXCLUSIVELY FOR PURCHASING PLOT? IFSO WHAT IS THE RATE OF INTREST.

Will you please tell what the eligibility criteria to issue loan amount under Land Purchase Scheme of State Bank of India (SBI) ?

Land Purchase Scheme of State Bank of India (SBI) comes under Agricultural Banking services offered by State Bank of India.

Land Purchase Scheme is to assist Small & Marginal farmers for purchase of Land.

Eligibility to Issue Land Loan :

Small & Marginal Farmers owning less than 5 acres of unirrigated / 2.5 acres of irrigated land.

Borrowers should have a record of prompt repayment of the loan for at least two years.

Good borrowers of other Banks are also eligible.

Loan amount :

Loan amount will be 85 % of the cost of the land.

Loan amount may be considered for:

Cost of land

Provision of irrigation facilities & land development (shall not exceed 50% of the cost of the land).

Purchase of farm equipments.

Registration charges & stamp duty.

Repayment of loan

Max. 9-10 years beginning after the expiry of gestation period , with half-yearly installments.

Gestation period will be :
Maximum of 1 year for the developed land .
Maximum of 2 years for the land to be developed.
