Q. Gravitational force acts on a particle due to fixed uniform solid sphere. Neglect other forces. Then particle :

Using,

| x – 2 |< δ, we get | y – 4 | < δ(δ + 4), which is less than ∈

So, δ < √(∈ + 4) - 2
