Dr. B.R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar, otherwise called NIT Jalandhar, is one of the summit foundations of building and higher examinations in the province of Punjab. The school is one among the thirty-one National Institutes of Technology in India built up under the NIT Act 2007 (Amended 2012) of the Parliament of India as Institutes of National Importance. It has full subsidizing help from the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.

NIT Jalandhar was built up in the year 1987 as Punjab Regional Engineering College, Jalandhar (PREC) in a joint wander between the Government of Punjab and Government of India.
