Prof. Gurdeep Singh is the originator individual from the Center of Mining Environment (CME) and Dept. of Ecological Science and Engg. (ESE) at ISM, Dhanbad.

He began the one of a kind scholarly projects :

M.Tech in Environmental Science and Engineering (1990) and B.Tech in Environmental Engineering (2006). He has around 31 years of Teaching, Research, HRD/Consultancy. He has finished 18 R&D ventures supported by MOEF, MHRD including 10 World Bank helped ventures, and so forth. He has distributed more than 346 Research papers, altered 9 books and guided 31 PhDs understudies.

He is at the front line of forefront look into in moderating ecological and social effects of mining in India. He has done different R&D and Consultancy extends especially World Bank supported Projects of MOEF/GOI and Coal India Limited on Environmental Management Capacity Building for Mining Part. At present Regional Environmental Impact Assessment of Goa Mining Region, Building the Social and Environmental Management Capacity of Afghanistan and Nigeria Mineral Sectors under World Bank helped Project. He has sorted out more than 100 Executive Development Programs on different Mining Natural perspectives with preparing of more than 1500 faculty of mining segment. He is additionally the organizer of MOEF Sponsored Environmental Information System on Mining (MIN-ENVIS) cooking the necessities of different partners while keeping up and working the site and production of different Newsletters and Monographs.
