Central Library involves a position of pride in IIT Bombay and is a fundamental part of the foundation's exceptional research and training mission. It is a most vivacious place on the grounds giving a protected, agreeable and cordial condition that empowers learning and progression of information, and advances revelation and grant. The mission of the Central Library is to encourage making of new learning through obtaining, association and spread of information assets and accommodating worth included administrations. A drop box has been positioned near security check point. Library members desiring to return the borrowed books can drop them in the box. Bound volumes of journals, loose issues, pamphlets as well as standards are issued from first floor issue counter on working days from 0900–1800 hrs.
