IIT Jodhpur invites applications for admission to Ph.D. programmes for the Semester commencing in December.

The aim of the Ph.D. Program is to develop graduates having good knowledge and research training in classical and emerging areas. IIT Jodhpur hosts Ph.D. program in areas of technology, engineering, sciences, and humanities and social sciences.

Ph.D. Programs

The Institute offers a Ph.D. Program with specialisation in the following disciplines:
1. Computer Science & Engineering,
2. Electrical Engineering,
3. Mechanical Engineering,
4. Biology,
5. Chemistry,
6. Mathematics,
7. Physics, and
8. Humanities & Social Sciences.

Qualification for Admission

The qualification criteria endorsed in this segment are in any event the base. The Admissions Committee may recommend necessities far beyond these.

(a) Engineering discipline

(1) Applicants with a Master's degree in Engineering specifically M.Tech, M. E., M. Sc. (Designing) or MS by Research with no less than 60% imprints or possibly 6.5/10 Cumulative Performance Index (CPI) or Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA). Such understudies are required to have no less than 60% imprints or 6.5/10 CPI or CGPA in Bachelor's degree.

(2) Applicants with a Master's degree in Sciences with no less than 70% imprints or possibly 7.0/10 CPI or CGPA with a substantial GATE, CSIR, UGC or NBHM score card. Such understudies are required to have 70% imprints or 7.0/10 CPI or CGPA in Bachelor's degree.

(3) (a) a B.Tech, B.E. or, on the other hand B.Sc. (Designing) degree with no less than 80% imprints or if nothing else 8/10 CPI or CGPA and a substantial GATE score, and

(b) a B.Tech. degree from any of the IITs with no less than 8/10 CPI or CGPA with a legitimate GATE Score Card.

(b) Science discipline

(1) Master's degree in Sciences with no less than 60% imprints or if nothing else 6.5/10 CPI or CGPA with a substantial GATE, CSIR, UGC score card or proportional. Such understudies are required to have no less than 60% imprints or 6.5/10 CPI or CGPA in Bachelor's degree. Candidates holding Master's degree in Engineering likewise are qualified to apply for PhD Program in Sciences with no less than 70% imprints or 7/10 CPI or CGPA. Once more, such candidates are required to have no less than 70% imprints or 7/10 CPI or CGPA in both the Bachelor's and Master's degree.

(2) Applicants holding just Bachelor's degree in Engineering with

(a) a B.Tech, B.E. or, on the other hand B.Sc.(Engineering) degree with no less than 80% imprints or 8/10 CPI or CGPA and a legitimate GATE score card

(b) a B.Tech. degree from any of the IITs with no less than 8/10 CPI or CGPA or a legitimate GATE score card.

(c) Humanities and Social Sciences discipline

(1) Master's degree in Humanities, Social Sciences, Sciences, Engineering or united zones with no less than 55% imprints or 6.0/10 CPI or CGPA with a substantial GATE, UGC or CSIR score.

(2) Applicants holding just Bachelor's degree in Engineering with

(a) a B.Tech, B.E. or, on the other hand B.Sc.(Engineering) degree with no less than 80% imprints or 8/10 CPI or CGPA and a legitimate GATE score card; and

(b) a B.Tech. degree from any of the IITs with no less than 8/10 CPI or CGPA or a substantial GATE score card.

Confirmation Procedure

The Academic Committee waitlists candidates with a demonstrated scholastic record in view of a cut-off of the GATE, CSIR or UGC score card or proportionate. The shortlisted candidates will be required the Written Examination or potentially Interview. Affirmation will be made in light of scholarly execution in the Written Examination or potentially Interview.

Part Time Ph.D. Program

Understudies conceded in this class should be a full-time representative of a perceived Institute, University or Organization. The understudy should not be qualified for any money related help, and needs to get her/his application sent by her/his boss. No-Objection testament from parent Institute is compulsory to be submitted alongside the application shape. The understudy should finish the base course and living arrangement prerequisites at IIT Jodhpur; she/he can attempt examine at an area other than the Institute.

Financial Assistance

Ph.D. understudies should be offered Teaching or Research Assistantships as a byproduct of 8 hours of work for every week. Foundation will give the money related assistantship to Ph.D. understudies selected in Regular FullTime Ph.D. program according to subsidizing organization standards.
