How Many courses in Marathi the Departments/Modern Indian Languages of AMU offer Please provide me the information about the program and give me info about its short term program?

The Aligarh Muslim University, offers B.A. (Hons.) in Marathi and Diploma in Marathi. As you want information about short term program so I am providing you information about diploma program.

Eligibility:
To get admission in this program, you must have Certificate of Proficiency in the concerned language or an equivalent examination with minimum of 45%.

Selection: selection in this program is based on the performance of candidates in Qualifying Examination.

The Department of Modern Indian languages , Aligarh Muslim University is a multi lingual department consisting of Seven Indian languages namely Marathi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Bengali, Punjabi and Kashmiri.

It envisages the development of national languages to project the composite culture of India .


Gradually teaching at various levels such as Certificate and Diploma courses, Subsidiary subjects at B.A (Hons) and optional subject of study at M.A.Hindi course.

Thrust Area of the Department

1.The available languages are Telugu, Marathi ,Bengali, Malayalam, Tamil, Punjabi and Kashmiri

2 .Focusing Research on Grammar, Linguistics , Literature, Culture, Folklore and Sociology of Indian Languages

3. Comparative Studies of Indian languages and Literature to promote the National Integration

4. Critical appreciation of great authors of ancient medieval and modern Indian Literature.

5. The theory and practice of Translation among Indian languages.
