Manonmaniam Sundaranar University (MSU) was founded on 7 September, 1990. It was introduced to fulfill the long felt demands of the people of the three districts of Tamil Nadu. These three districts are Tirunelveli, Tuticorin and Kanyakumari. The university was named after the popular Tamil Scholar Professor P. Sundaram Pillai. It provides B.ED program.
