Prof. Dr. Krishnan Baskar hails from an Agricultural family at Kottaikuppam Town, Thiruvallur District, Tamilnadu, India. He got his Master Degree in Physics from Madras University and got his Ph.D. from Anna University. He participated in Anna University, Chennai in 1991. The Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm, Sweden, granted him the title of "Docent' for his exploration achievements in semiconductor materials innovation in 2001.
